Seismic Evaluation of the U3ax/bl Landfill
in the Area 3 RWMS, Nevada Test Site, Nevada
A site evaluation, a seismic hazard analysis and a site response analysis were performed for the U3ax/bl low-level radioactive waste landfill, located in the Area 3 Radioactive Waste Management Site of the Nevada Test Site.  Rupture of the Yucca fault produced the worst case seismic hazard at the site.  Results indicated that the waste subsidence, not the worst case earthquake, controls the landfill cover design.
