Seismic Characterization of a Hazardous Waste Landfill

SASW measurements were performed at a hazardous waste landfill facility in California in 1998 & 1999. The purpose of the testing was to develop shear-wave velocity profiles and to estimate waste depths, for the purpose of predicting seismic response.
Long-wavelength SASW measurements are being performed, using the motion of heavy equipment as a seismic source.
