In the summer of 1999, resistivity measurements were performed at the Las Vegas Springs Preserve over known fissures in order to determine their extent


The fissure above was photographed in the spring of 1999. The photograph below is of the same fissure, taken after a 100-year flood, which occured on July 8, 1999.
A fissure located at the north part of the Preserve in the Subsidence Bowl area.  The fissure is approximately one foot wide.
